BEHIND THE LENS

​Welcome to my website. In another life, I taught Photography at a Further Education College on the South Coast of England.  I specialized in film and darkroom work, and also in digital photography, teaching Photoshop techniques.  Since then I've become a freelance photographer specialising in people, travel and landscape imagery.  I've had several exhibitions of my photographic art.  I'm not especially into equipment, believing in the eye rather than the kit, but you may want to know that I mostly use Canon cameras; currently an EOS 5D with a range of EF L-series lenses.

I've always been a keen sailor, and currently own a 28ft yacht.  It keeps me off the streets.  I also like cooking and real ale.  Oh, and photography.
